The History of Population and its Growth is one of the key issues the XXIst Century faces in order to understand the causes of poverty and hunger, overpopulation, why people are not marrying or having children,  sexual revolutions, population ageing and its economic implications, environmental crisis (ozone layer, water scarcity, global warming, etc..) and their relationship with population, political and economic interests of birth control and sustainable development, the rights of the family and of Society to a better quality of life. Discussions arise about the relationship between population and the above issues, with emphasis on an optimistic view of the relationship between population growth and other global phenomena.
